«New Promising Products Technology» LLC (NPP Technology LLC)
Since 1996, the company NPP «Technology» has been producing and supplying complex modifiers, ligatures, in-house inserts, powder wire, and other consumables for out-of-furnace processing of cast iron and steel. The complex modifiers of the company NPP «Technology» allow improving mechanical properties and increasing the quality of foundry-metallurgical products. More than 500 enterprises in Russia and abroad have already become clients of the company. NPP “Technology” not only produces modifiers for cast iron and steel, but also provides full service technological support to customers in the field of modification technology.
NPP «Technology» LLC has unique competencies in the field of industrial engineering, is engaged in scientific and practical developments in the field of out-of-furnace processing of steel and cast iron, has its own patents for equipment and materials.
The unique technology of producing complex microcrystalline modifiers has been patented since 1996. The essence of obtaining microcrystalline modifiers is that the casting of the modifier is carried out continuously by freezing the melt on crystallizers at a cooling rate of 700-1000 °C/sec.
Unlike the usual method of casting foundry modifiers, the technology of obtaining microcrystalline materials allows obtaining an alloy in the form of plates less than 5 mm thick. Crystallization by freezing contributes to the increase in the density of the modifier, reducing the concentration of gases dissolved in it (oxygen by 3.6 times, nitrogen by 4.0 times, hydrogen by 1.4 times).
The use of high-speed cooling casting technology of alloys leads not only to an increase in the dispersion of phases, but also to the formation of metastable states, the expansion of the area of supersaturated solid solutions, which leads to a significant increase in the activity of modifying components of the alloy, and, therefore, to an increase in the efficiency of the modifier.
